Our Senior Deacon Bro. Ryan Thompson was delighted to represent the Caledonian Lodge of Uganda 1389 at the 4th International Scottish Masonic Conference, which was held in Grand Lodge in Edinburgh in November.
Bro. Thompson enjoyed the conference and was delighted to meet some 76 brethren who had travelled from the Bahamas, as well as several others from across the globe – along with brothers from as far away as…Midlothian!
I was surprised to learn that one third of members of the Scottish constitution reside overseas. The conference was a great opportunity to meet overseas brethren and some fantastic relationships were formed. It was also great to hear about the plans that Grand Lodge have in ensuring we remain current – and of interest to younger generations. I look forward to doing what I can to support the vision shared.
